Second Transnational Project Meeting in Innsbruck, Austria:

Building Momentum for Inclusive Youth Sports

The SoWell4Youth partnership reconvened in the picturesque city of Innsbruck, Austria, for the second transnational project meeting (TPM2). Hosted by our Austrian partner, bOJA – the national network for open youth work – the meeting focused on deepening our collective efforts to use sport as a tool for youth well-being, inclusion, and empowerment.

Over the course of two intensive days, partners from Sweden, Belgium, France, and Spain gathered to share progress, discuss challenges, and align on next steps in the project’s implementation. Key topics included the development of local pilot activities, methods for integrating mental health support into sports environments, and strategies for engaging vulnerable youth through grassroots clubs.

The setting in Innsbruck provided not only a stunning natural backdrop but also insight into Austria’s strong tradition of combining youth work with sports. Through local study visits and exchange with practitioners, we gained valuable inspiration to bring back to our own communities.

As with every SoWell4Youth meeting, the spirit of collaboration, trust, and shared purpose was at the heart of our time together. The bonds between partners continue to grow stronger, and the enthusiasm for creating lasting impact through sport remains high.

We now look forward to the third TPM in France, where we will continue to shape this European journey for youth inclusion and well-being.
